About the event
Experience one of Chiang Mai's most enchanting cultural celebrations at Chiang Mai Authentic Sky Lanterns 2026, taking place on 24–25 November 2026 at Dutch Farm, Mae On District, Chiang Mai.
Immerse yourself in the traditions of Yi Peng and Loy Krathong through an evening filled with glowing sky lanterns, authentic Lanna cultural performances, Northern Thai cuisine, traditional arts and crafts, cultural DIY workshops, and the spectacular synchronized sky lantern release.
The festival features three main experience zones: Arts & Culture, Dinner, and Lanna Culture & Sky Lanterns Festival, allowing visitors to discover different aspects of Northern Thai culture throughout the event.
Before the main lantern ceremony, participants will receive instructions on the proper lantern-release technique. Guests will then join the synchronized release, creating an unforgettable scene as thousands of illuminated lanterns rise into the Chiang Mai night sky.
Complete the experience by joining the Loy Krathong Ceremony, enjoying authentic Northern Thai cuisine, watching traditional performances, participating in cultural activities, and capturing memorable photographs throughout the beautifully decorated festival grounds.
